Job Description

Responsibilities

 

  • Planning, implementation and operation of VDI solutions (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) based on Omnissa (VMWare) Horizon
  • Ensuring high availability and performance of the VDI environment
  • Troubleshooting and problem management in connection with VDI and Omnissa Horizon
  • Optimizing the user experience in the VDI environment 
  • Advising and training users in the use of VDI and Omnissa Horizon
  • Contributing to the further development of the VDI strategy
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate VDI into the corporate IT infrastructure
     

Profile

 

  • Completed higher technical education in the field of computer science, IT or similar.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure and operating systems
  • Profound knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VDI
  • Explicit knowledge and experience with Omnissa Horizon
  • Experience with Citrix an advantage
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English
  • Occasional international business trips to foreign companies possible

Possible start date: immediately

 

We offer you for this position a monthly minimum gross salary (starting level) of €3.000,00 on a full time basis (38.5 hrs/week). The actual salary is calculated on the basis of previous periods of service, qualification, professional experience and the collective agreement.
